“Lyme Disease: A Patient’s Perspective,” Wyomissing, PA

June 8, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

PA Lyme resource network

Anne Desjardins with the PA Lyme Resource Network will present “Lyme Disease: a Patient’s Perspective” on Saturday, June 8, at 1 p.m. at Wyomissing Public Library, 9 Reading Blvd.

Desjardins became ill in 2010 but it wasn’t until 2017 that she was diagnosed with Lyme disease.

In 2018 she started a local support group to help people avoid the dangers of ticks and Lyme and then became a public prevention specialist for the network.

Pennsylvania continues to be first in the nation in the number of reported cases of the disease. The mission of the network is prevention, support, education and patient advocacy.

Registration is requested and may be done at the library, at 610-374-2385 or www.wyopublib.org.
