Dorothy Leland to discuss ticks and Lyme disease, Lower Lake, California–CANCELLED

Dorothy Leland, Vice-president and Communications Director of LymeDisease.org, will address the monthly meeting of Redbud Audubon Society at 7 pm, March 19.

She will discuss matters of concern to people who spend a lot of time outdoors, bird-watching: How to recognize tick habitat, how to protect yourself from ticks, how to recognize early symptoms of tick-borne infections, how to find appropriate medical care when necessary.

Lyme disease and other tick-borne infections continue to spread. “The first step towards protecting yourself is to recognize that this is a problem that’s worthy of your time and attention,” Leland states. She will also discuss statewide and national issues related to Lyme and other tick-borne infections, and the advocacy work being done by LymeDisease.org.

The meeting will be held the United Methodist Church Social Hall, 16255 Second Street. Lower Lake.
