May 19 deadline to send letter to Congress for Lyme and TBD programs
From the Center for Lyme Action:
We all know one tick bite can change a life. That’s why we need to take action today to urge Congress to protect and fund Lyme and tick-borne disease federal programs.
Why Now?
A recently leaked Fiscal Year 2026 budget passback from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) shows that the federal government may cut programs that help the United States prevent, detect, and respond to Lyme and tick-borne diseases.
These proposed cuts put millions of Americans at risk—including vulnerable children, families, seniors, and people with disabilities.
Lyme and tick-borne diseases still lack reliable diagnostics, affordable therapies, and a cure. Now is the time to speak up. Urge Congress to adopt our recommended funding levels for Lyme and tick-borne disease research in the Fiscal Year 2026 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Appropriations bill.
