From the LymeLight Foundation: PANS: Tick-Borne Infections as Triggers of Pediatric Acute-Onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome LymeLight Foundation often receives applications from families dealing with Lyme disease and Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome (PANS). In response, we are honored to present a FREE webinar with Daniel A. Kinderlehrer, MD, who has decades of experience treating Lyme disease and PANS. Date and time: Wednesday, May 8  5 pm Pacific/8 pm Eastern. While many associate Lyme disease with joint pain and flu-like symptoms, psychiatric symptoms can mask the clinical picture. Anxiety, depression, OCD, eating disorders and psychosis are diagnosed as a primary condition when an underlying infection is the root cause. Dr. Kinderlehrer will present the spectrum of neuropsychiatric illnesses associated with these infections, explain the underlying pathophysiology, and explore appropriate diagnostic and treatment strategies.
