ONLINE SYMPOSIUM: Cracking the Chronic Illness Code (Free)
From Gordon Medical Group: Free online event, May 6-12. We have created this event to introduce some of the most overlooked and important factors for overcoming chronic illness, including root cause combinations and what we call “the big 3”: ticks, toxins, and mold. Liegner, MD and Erica Glazer, FNP, facilitated by LDRC Executive Director Maria Malaguti where we talk about their work with Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses. Dr. Liegner has over 30 years working with Lyme and co-infections. Bring your questions! About Dr. Kenneth B. Liegner Dr. Kenneth B. Liegner is a board certified Internist with additional training in Pathology and Critical Care Medicine, practicing in Pawling, New York. He has been actively involved in diagnosis and treatment of Lyme disease and related disorders since 1988. He has published articles on Lyme disease in peer-reviewed scientific journals and has presented poster abstracts and talks at national and international conferences on Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases. He has cared for many persons seriously ill with chronic and neurologic Lyme disease. His work has focused on the serious morbidity and (occasional) mortality that can eventuate from this aspect of the illness. He has emphasized the urgent need for widespread clinical availability of improved methods of diagnostic testing and for development of improved methods of treatment for Lyme disease in all its stages. He holds the first United States patent proposing application of acaricide to deer for area-wide control of deer-tick populations as a means of reducing the incidence of Lyme disease. Dr. Liegner is a long-time member of The International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS.org) and served four years on its Board of Directors. He is also a member of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons. About Erica Glazer, FNP Erica Glazer is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has over 23 years of Nurse Practitioner experience. In 2008, she began her work alongside Dr. Liegner, caring for patients with Lyme disease and related disorders. She is passionate about providing care to this patient population who are often marginalized by mainstream medical providers and through her compassionate individualized approach she creates strong therapeutic alliances with patients who are under her care.
