PAID RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY: Seeking pregnant patients with Lyme disease

Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC is conducting a groundbreaking study on how Lyme disease during pregnancy may affect child development.
Led by Dr. Sarah Mulkey, the research team is looking for 40 participants to join this study and help us learn about the impacts of Lyme during pregnancy on child development.
You may be able to join the study if you are pregnant and have been diagnosed with acute Lyme, chronic Lyme, or post-treatment Lyme disease syndrome (PTLDS) during this pregnancy, or in the past 5 years. The study is open to anyone in the United States. Travel is NOT required to be part of the study.
The study includes questionnaires, telehealth meetings, imaging (MRI/ultrasound), Lyme bloodwork for you and your baby, and placenta testing at no cost to you. You will be paid for your time at each study visit.
By joining this study, you can help researchers and providers learn how to better treat and protect future babies and children exposed to Lyme disease in utero.
