2026 Advocacy Day recap: Making our voices heard

From the Center for Lyme Action{
Thank you to the more than 500 Lyme and tick-borne disease advocates who participated in Advocacy Day this year on February 18.
Together we met with 351 House and Senate Offices from all 50 states and D.C. and Puerto Rico. We met with more districts than ever before – 274 – which is way more than half. And we had a record number of Member-attended meetings scheduled – 9!
Special shout out to our more than 50 team leads who organized our regional and state groups. Your dedication to this issue is palpable and your delivery of our five Appropriations Requests is demanding more attention than ever. Sending a clear message to Congress has made tick-borne illness a national health priority.

Fiscal Year 2026 Appropriations Updates
In wonderful news, we were able to maintain our Lyme and tick-disease funding, even in the face of an unfavorable appropriations climate. The total impact of our aggregate advocacy has been $613M since we started our work in 2019.
For details, please see the information below:
As our journey continues to grow federal funding for Lyme, Alpha-gal, and other tick-borne diseases, we are inspired by tick-borne disease advocates every day. Let’s keep it going!
