Lyme advocacy organizations from across the country have joined forces to honor Dr. Daniel Kinderlehrer for more than four decades of extraordinary service to the Lyme community.

Widely known for his compassionate, integrative approach to treating Lyme and other tick‑borne diseases, Dr. Kinderlehrer has helped thousands of patients who struggled to find answers — often after years of misdiagnosis or dismissal.

The recognition highlights his national impact as a clinician, educator, and advocate. Dr. Kinderlehrer has trained countless practitioners, spoken at major conferences, and authored resources that have guided patients through the complexities of chronic tick‑borne illness.

His book, Recovery from Lyme Disease, remains one of the most well-regarded patient‑centered guides available.

Upon Dr. Kinderlehrer’s retirement, a number of Lyme groups collaborated to present him with a special award acknowledging his leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the community.
