SUMMARY:WEBINAR: Science of Tick-Borne Pathogens and Testing
DESCRIPTION:From the Lyme Disease Resource Center\, Northampton\, MA: \nDate & Time: June 12 6:30 pm Eastern Time \nJoin us for a conversation with Paul Killinger of TickReport whose mission is “To provide a professional tick testing service to public individuals and agencies seeking more information about the risk of dangerous tick-borne pathogens.” \nWe’ll talk about the latest research about tick-borne pathogens\, tick safety\, and so much more. There will be lots of time for Q&A. \nAbout: Paul Killinger has directed education and outreach efforts for the TickReport testing service since 2018. While much of their research and service is focused close to home in Western Massachusetts\, the TickReport lab regularly tests ticks from more than twenty countries across six continents. \nThe lab’s approach to passive surveillance of ticks and tick bites provides valuable insight on the seasonal activity of ticks\, as well as the geographic distribution of tick species and pathogens. \nRegistration \n
