DESCRIPTION:New York State Senator Sue Serino is hosting an event to help raise awareness of Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases among children and families. \nTackling Ticks: Family Discovery Day will take place Sunday\, Sept. 15\, in the Center Court of the Poughkeepsie Galleria\, 2001 South Road\, Poughkeepsie\, NY. \nThe event will feature games\, crafts\, treats and music\, all designed to help children and their guardians learn how to protect themselves while continuing to enjoy outdoor activities in the Hudson Valley. \nArea experts will be on hand to answer questions\, demonstrate best practices for enjoying the outdoors and provide residents with information.
