ADVOCACY ALERT: Contact your Member of Congress today
Bonnie Crater, of the Center for Lyme Action, has sent out the following alert to Lyme advocates:
Hello Lyme advocates:
Thank you for your continued support for federal funding for Lyme and other tick-borne diseases.
Here’s an oldie but goodie request for you. It’s easy. Just pick option 1 or option 2 and click. It only takes 3-5 minutes of your time.
ARPA-H is a new federal agency funded at $1 billion in the Fiscal Year 2022 appropriations. ARPA-H is an advanced research agency that is a perfect place for Lyme and TBD research innovation. Legislation to make this agency independent of the NIH is important for innovation and will be brought to the floor sometime soon. Let’s get our share of ARPA-H innovation!
Please choose one of the following options
OPTION 1. Thank your representative for co-sponsoring the ARPA-H Act.
- Click on this link to see if your U.S. Representative is already a co-sponsor.
- If they are on the list, click here to SEND A THANK YOU NOTE.
- If you don’t know your member of Congress, click here to find your member of Congress.
OPTION 2. Ask your U.S. Representative to co-sponsor the ARPA-H Act. If your representative is not on the list, click here to ASK YOUR MEMBER TO CO-SPONSOR ARPA-H. At last count the ARPA-H Act had 66 cosponsors, but we need more!
Thank you for your time and advocacy! Got questions? Please feel free to send an email to Meredith Faucette at email@example.com.
