Large non-profits sometimes have special benefits associated with different levels of giving - books or bags with logos or free merchandise. Some people wonder why we don't. CALDA is a small nonprofit run entirely by volunteers, so most of what you give goes directly to programs, not to administrative costs or overhead. We recognize all members by giving special rates on purchasing the Lyme Times in bulk. If you give at a higher than basic level, we appreciate your expression of confidence in our work and are able to continue funding our programs. Possibly we will be able to step up and improve our programs or outsource more of the work. If you are especially generous, we will likely use your donation to grow our special research fund, to benefit Californians with Lyme disease.
